We are a family business that originated with simple beginnings. Our founder Abdel-Fattah Moawad started his long-term vision in 1981 with minor projects in a completely virgin market. In the early 1980s, central HVAC systems were uncommon, expensive, and complicated. In an age where branding and marketing were unheard of, the values exercised in the market were measurements upon which a company was positioned. Elecon is and always has been consistent in its work ethic. Its reputation as a reliable and trustworthy contractor is the hallmark of its services. Upholding a word is a core teaching that has cascaded from the founder and godfather of Elecon down to more than 4 generations of employees. As a technically-focused, detail-oriented, and dependable organization, Elecon’s proper reputation cemented itself in the Egyptian market year after year.
Landing the title of the biggest Carrier distributers in Egypt was a major milestone in our history. Currently, we are happy to announce that Elecon operates as a full electro-mechanical contractor with a history of projects in almost all Egyptian sectors. Our services were implemented in hospitals, airports, on-shore petroleum projects, malls, administrative buildings, pharmaceutical laboratories, TV production studios, hotels, factories, and Egyptian national projects. Clients have also equally varied with widespread diversity: from the petroleum sector, the governmental sector, military sector, to the private sector, tourism industry, and entertainment industry. Elecon has seen it all. Forty years of branching out into all varieties of projects and clients accumulated into solid market knowledge and expertise.

Still feeling there was more untapped potential in the Egyptian market, Abdel-Fattah Moawad also founded Zamzam Engineering. Zamzam has been in business for 20 years and is leading the Egyptian market in the air distribution system industry. Zamzam single-handedly earned its own reputable name independently from Elecon Electromechanical. Nonetheless, it is through the exact same shared integrity and values we uphold constantly and consistently that built both company cultures to date.

To do this, we implement strict health, safety, and environment (HSE) policy on all of our projects. We are committed to the protection of the environment and are sure to apply best practices to minimize environmental pollution.
Due to the complexity of many of our projects, our on-site teams face a number of challenges ranging from simple to hazardous. We strive to prevent accidents or injury to our employees and partners in the face of any and all conditions. Over the past several years, we have introduced company-wide campaigns to increase awareness and teach skills so that our employees have the training, knowledge, and tools to work safely.
While we have made tremendous progress, including major improvements to our lost time injury frequency rate, we are constantly working to improve workplace safety. ELECON always endeavours to find ways to work more safely and efficiently and integrate HSE into every aspect of our operations. Our knowledge-sharing culture helps us towards that goal, emphasizing strong communication and consistent accountability.
